Happy Monday! Hope you had a relaxing weekend and are ready to go for an exciting week ahead! The countdown to Thanksgiving is here and Mo and I just shot some really fun holiday inspired posts that I can’t wait to share with you. This past week also brought a preview of the SpaceNK holiday gift ideas at a fun event Sheree and I attended at the Sunset Tower Hotel. Be sure to check out their site for some beauty inspired gifts that aren’t the same old, same old. Think a heat generated carousel candle by Diptyque that will have any lucky recipient spinning with joy. Hint, hint if anyone wants to get one for me. 🙂
With holiday season in the air, the last two months of the year are amongst my favorite. That being said though, trying to wrap up year end projects, posting content in a timely manner and still finding time to decorate, shop and party can be a whirlwind. With all the hustle and bustle, comfort is key and I think that’s why the athleisure wear trend has become so popular over the last couple of years.
If you’re not already familiar with this trend, the official Wikipedia definition describes Athleisure as “a trend in fashion in which clothing designed for workouts and other athletic activities is worn in other settings, such as the workplace, at school, or other casual or social occasions.” This comfort wear trend went from $35 billion in sales in 2014 to $270 billion in 2016. And like it or not, this trend isn’t going anywhere any time soon. Athleisure wear sales are predicted to grow by 30% by 2020!
Of course, if you live in Los Angeles, Athleisure wear is more of a lifestyle than a trend. Just throw on your striped workout pants, a cozy sweater and a designer bag and your ready to take on the day. Accessorize your look with a cold pressed juice and your good to go. Ah, athleisure wear: that’s so LA!
