Greetings and Salutations Heathers fans. I attended the workshop of Heathers, The Musical at the Hudson Backstage last week with great anticipation. The musical is based on the original Dan Waters’ screenplay with book, music and lyrics by Kevin Murphy (Reefer Madness, Defiance) and Laurence O’Keefe (Legally Blonde The Musical). The Director is Andy Fickman (Disney Channel’s Liv & Maddie) and the choreography is by three time Emmy Winner Marguerite Derricks (Bunheads, True Blood). I can’t wait to see more of this musical as it moves on to Broadway or The West End. Great songs and choreography and don’t worry it stays very true to the original.
