Happy Thursday! We are still in the middle of a massive heat wave hear in LA and despite all the Fall catalogs filling my mailbox and inbox, Fall is nowhere in sight. I convinced Mr. Pretty Little Shopper to take me to brunch in Hollywood on our holiday on Monday which ended up being an epic fail! Instead of staying in the 83 degree Manhattan Beach heat, we ended up sitting on a steamy patio in 93 degree heat! The plan was to do some Fall shopping after lunch so we headed to Alice & Olivia and Rag and Bone to see what was new in the store. There was no way I was about to try anything on though since my sundress and sandals were already sealed to my body from the humidity. I felt so bad for the sales people since we were the only ones in the store and I still can barely bring myself to make and Fall purchases (okay, so I bought a couple of things online to try on at night with the air conditioner on)!
This dress is a new purchase from an online retailer I love called Pixie Market. It’s so perfect for the beach weather and the sky blue color is so dreamy and relaxing. I paired it with my new gladiator sandals for a Greek island feel. If its going to stay this hot I want to pretend I am an on vacation sipping a drink with a cute umbrella in it. Both the dress and shoes were on backorder and I managed to score them both when I received “Back in Stock” emails. These pieces couldn’t have arrived at a better time.
