Since I didn’t get to go to New York for Fashion Week, I was so thrilled to find out there would be a few shows in LA I could attend. And when I heard that one of the shows would be Tommy Hilfiger, I could hardly contain my excitement! If you follow this blog, you probably already know that I am a bit obsessed with Tommy Hilfiger’s Collection pieces and actually shed some tears when his LA store closed last year. And when TommyxGigi takes LA, you can only expect a spectacular event to be remembered!
To showcase his latest collaboration with Gigi Hadid, the team at Tommy Hilfiger created TommyLand, turning the Venice Boardwalk into a carnival (complete with rides, fire dancers, roller skaters, stilt walkers, foodtrucks and a giant slide). You could shop the TommyxGigi collection straight off the runway and stop in the makeshift tents for a Tommyland tote bag as well as custom made pins, patches and lollipops.
Color block pieces were on pointe!
And patches were a major item on display throughout the show and event. Items purchased at the event could be customized with patches of your choice.
Americana is always a theme in the US born designers line.
Loving these bohemian patchwork and floral prints. The Spring 2017 collection was inspired by the casual, cool and chic California vibe making the Venice Boardwalk a perfect setting.
As the show came to a close, a group of dancers on stilts made their way to the forefront.
Followed by the models and Tommy himself.
After the show Gigi guided the crowd towards the stage….
…for a surprise concert by Fergie!
I wore a Tommy Hilfiger Collection sweater and bag, AG jeans, Marc by Marc Jacobs coat and Calvin Klein booties.
