Happy Wednesday! Today I’m so excited to share an event that’s been a long time in the making. I started talking about throwing a movie night for my blogger and actress friends a couple of years ago, but somehow the idea of hosting on my own didn’t sound like too much fun. So when I asked my girls Kali and Sheree to co-host with me I was absolutely delighted that they accepted and our #bloggermovienight began to come to life.
It’s my firm belief that every event should have a signature cocktail and since our event was catered by Lemonade LA, naturally Blood Orange Lemonade Bellinis were the way to go. Such a refreshing way to greet our guests on a hot Summer night by the beach.
Everyone gathered in the kitchen to dine on salads and sandwiches sponsored by Lemonade LA.
Before making their way to the candy and popcorn buffet, which no movie night would be complete without.
All of us girls are so busy we don’t get to see each other often enough. Our goal was to connect with our old friends and also invite some new ones that we’ve been chatting with on social media, but haven’t yet met in person. The result was an enormous success and everyone had the best time connecting over candy and cocktails and bonding over how to balance work, life and Instagram Stories. 🙂
I baked a few dozen gluten-free Linzer Tarts and Chocolate Chip, Almond, Pecan Cookies a few nights before the party.
And Lesser Evil provided their delicious coconut oil and sea salt popcorn, for a healthy option to our candy buffet.
After salads, sandwiches and bellinis, we directed our guests downstairs for drinks and to take photos in our movie night themed photo booth. Stella Rosa and Diama Sparkle provided delicious wines to sweeten the night.
I enlisted Mo and Mister Pretty Little Shopper to help me set up a photo booth in our library/bar area.
We set up a white board on an easel to encourage our guests to make new friends. It’s amazing how many Insta Friendships can turn into real life ones.
Gorgeous floral arrangements were provided by Playa Flowers via BloomNation.
We made sure everyone’s glasses were filled throughout the night…
And everyone had so much fun chatting, that we never actually got to the movie. 🙂
And gorgeous Succulents by Playa Flowers.
Everyone had such a hard time choosing which of these pretty plants to adopt.

We had so much fun we’re already dreaming up our next event. Stay tuned.
