Happy Tuesday! As I mentioned last week, we have decided to move closer to the Los Angeles area, and put our much loved Manhattan Beach home on the market. When my awesome realtor Jan Rhees, mentioned that she would like to set up our home to be featured on NBC Open House TV, little did I know that I would be hosting the segment. My reaction was a mix of excitement and utter fear! While it may seem that being in front of the camera would be completely natural to someone with my background in acting (and now being in front of the camera for blog photos every week), I must say it’s a completely different skill set. I was so nervous to have to be myself and talk about my home and life on camera.
I started the morning at 8 am, with hair and makeup artist Crystal Watana. Jan has the keys to my house so she let in her assistant and the small film crew to get things rolling. As I was finishing up with Crystal, I heard Jan say, “Oh, she’ll love that!” Being someone who really hates surprises (unless it’s a box labeled Chanel), I must say, I was slightly panicked. It turns out that when the director and producer arrived at my house and found out I was a blogger, they thought I should have multiple wardrobe changes throughout the house. My one planned out look (the black DVF dress), quickly turned into five looks! And by quickly, I mean that I literally had five minutes to put together the five looks! Definitely a “reality TV” initiation at it’s best.
Thank you so much for stopping by and please enjoy the tour!

Lisa
