Happy Monday! Did you have a nice weekend? I started the weekend with a good workout and catching up on some work at home, before spending Saturday night on a leisurely dinner date at The Ivy with the hubby and a friend. On Sunday I had a fun blogger date with Emmy from EmmyinStyle. I love connecting with other girls I have met through this amazing blogging community. We went to Le Pain Quotidien and ordered Matcha Lattes and Avocado Toast with smoked salmon on gluten-free bread. Believe it or not it was my very first time eating avocado toast and it was well worth the hype! Since I am gluten-free, it can be a little hard to find (unless you make it yourself), so I would definitely recommend this gluten-free version at Le Pain! After lunch I rushed off to The Valley to participate in a fun play reading and then back home to Manhattan Beach to cuddle up with the hubby and watch Big Little Lies. Are you watching? It is absolutely amazing and I can’t wait to see the finale next week!
Now let’s talk about this dress. I am a huge fan of all things floral and embroidered and if it comes in a dress form, you don’t have to twist my arm. This twirl worthy black embroidered floral dress from Metisu had me at hello! It’s such a comfy dress for Spring and priced under a hundred dollars. It’s also a perfect vacation dress as you can easily transition it from a day to night look. Dress it down with a tote and espadrilles for an afternoon outing and then switch to heels and a clutch or small handbag for a dinner date.
