Happy Weekend! Today marks the official start of Fall and that means it’s time to break out the tartan. If you’re a dedicated sartorial seeker like I am, you might have noticed that Yellow Plaid is having its moment from the runways to retailers. Mo and I shot this look in West Hollywood a couple of weeks ago and we were both surprised at how many people stopped us on the street to comment on this bold yellow plaid print dress. A young Zendaya look alike even rolled down her tinted window to tell me how much she loved this look. I had originally planned to wear this dress to NYFW, but with all the home repairs and drama of getting our house back on the market, I ended up missing it once again. I was pretty bummed out, so needless to say, I was quite happy that this OOTD made its debut on Sunset Blvd with such a favorable response. Mister Pretty Little Shopper always likes to remind me of an old Chris Rock special where he talks about women surviving on shoes and compliments. 🙂
And speaking of shoes, these yellow sandals from the Raye the Label are so comfy and currently on sale for just $54! I matched them to my dress here, but they’ll also make a great pop of color addition to a denim or black and white look.

Yellow is not a colour for everyone but it is definitely a gorgeous colour here. I do not have outfits in this colour but the print is definitely nice.
