Hollywood Regency Kitchen Reveal

Hi Y’all! It’s been awhile. I’m so excited to be back on the blog and to finally share my (long overdue) Hollywood Regency Kitchen Reveal! If you’ve been following me for awhile, you might have already seen my before and during photos in this previous post. I also shared the long story and details about how I decided to undergo designing my own Hollywood Regency Kitchen with the help of a brilliant sketch artist I met on Fiverrr.com. In hindsight it still sounds crazy to me that I created this kitchen from my imagination (and tons of Pinterest inspiration), but I absolutely LOVE how this design came out!

While the black, white and brass color palette appeals to my Hollywood Regency sensibilities, the work flow and cabinet space have been equally important in manifesting this dream kitchen! It took a lot of research, but it was worth it as this kitchen is so easy to navigate!

Appliances

I had originally obsessed over this designer range, but after seeing it in person (and weighing out the cost factor), I realized it probably wouldn’t be as practical as I imagined. The oven doors felt heavy and I didn’t love the idea of crouching down to open them. We ended up deciding to replace the stacked ovens and keep them in their original spot. And with the layout of the kitchen as is, the stunning La Cornue range would have been blocked by our kitchen island. Ultimately we felt the Wolf stove and ovens would be more practical and decided to invest in a custom range hood as a focal pointe.

Brass Grilles and Brass plated Ceiling Mounted Shelves

Sourcing out our gorgeous brass grilles was definitely one of the biggest challenges of taking on this project on my own. Since I don’t have a trade license, I had to not only track down who actually makes these grilles, but also talk the dealer into selling them to me. There is only one company that makes these stunning brass grilles and they come from the UK. With the help of my contractor I was able to use his trade license to purchase them from the only dealer that seems to sell them in the United States.

The brass plated ceiling mounted shelves were also a little hard to find, but we had a fabulous experience working with Soil and Oak! The owners Jay and Caroline were so helpful in making sure we measured everything correctly and communicating with our contractor on how to install. We originally had planned on using the same quartz as our countertops for the shelves, but thought the weight would prove too heavy. We ended up going with a wooden shelve painted to match the center island.

Butler’s Pantry

In keeping with the Hollywood Regency design theme, I wanted a pop of color for our Butler’s Pantry. I’m obsessed with this Laguna Blue paint by Benjamin Moore and the Dragonfly knobs I found on Etsy. You can view all the details and before and after photos of our Butler’s Pantry in my previous post here.

Mr. Cupcake is really obsessed with this kitchen too! Not surprising, considering he has his own private chef and treat cabinet. 🙂 He loves to hang out with me while I am cooking our meals and of course he thinks every single thing I am preparing is for him. I keep trying to explain the concept of meal prepping to him, but he seems to think if there is still food left that he might get more.

He’s also really into collecting his cheese tax. I make him work for it though. 🙂
