Happy Wednesday! I hope your 2018 is off to a great start! I’ve caught the hubby’s cold, so I’m taking advantage of my time at home to get organized for the New Year and firm up some of the goals I want to accomplish. Sometimes a little hibernation is actually a nice way to reinvigorate. One big lesson for me, taking off into 2018 is to remember to take some down time! It’s something I didn’t do at all last year and I ended up feeling really burnt out most of the time.
Another thing I want to do this year is to travel more. Last year was one of the lightest travel years I’ve experienced in years. Since we still haven’t sold our house, all of our plans were sort of up in the air… and we ended up grounded. We still have our house on the market and are looking forward to a move (and adopting a puppy) this year, but I definitely don’t want to put my life on hold again while I wait for it to happen. Another big lesson I learned last year (and am still learning), is that sometimes you just have to let go of the things you can’t control and go with the flow. Mister Pretty Little Shopper got me a new laptop for Christmas, so I’m now ready to jet set around the world with my new mobile office! Such a generous guy I have… now if only he would keep the germs to himself though. 🙂
Also, can we talk about this new round bag I got from Tammy & Benjamin. I’ve been eyeing the bags on their site for over a year now and I ended up getting this one on Black Friday, along with one of their cute bucket bags for my Sister-In-Law. If you haven’t heard of this French brand yet, it’s definitely one to watch! I styled the bag with this pussy bow blouse I scored from the Zara sale. It’s still available for under $30.
