Happy Monday! Christmas Eve is just a week away and I wanted to share the Winter Wonderland Christmas Décor theme I created for this year’s holiday season.
My inspiration for this year’s Winter Wonderland Christmas decor started with Julia Engel’s, Gal Meets Glam Collection holiday lookbook. As soon as I got a glance at her gorgeous pink dresses, I wondered if I could find the decorations I needed to pull off my Winter Wonderland idea.
My first stop was Target, and I was delighted to find so many gorgeous and reasonably priced pieces to pull together my vision. Target has really been my go to for decorations the past couple of holidays.
One of the most important details in creating my Winter Wonderland Christmas decor was a lightly flocked tree and garland. After all, it wouldn’t be a Winter Wonderland without a light snowfall.
It was a little trickier to track down Nutcracker soldiers that would match my pink and gold theme, but luckily I was able to track down these handsome fellows at Pier1 Imports.
I really thought I would forgo the candy buffet this time around, but the Nutcracker soldiers inspired me. Growing up I watched every version of the Nutcracker I could get my hands on and learned all the dances for our Winter ballet recitals. I definitely wanted to include the “Land of Sweets” to my Winter Wonderland magic.
And speaking of the Land of Sweets, I updated my beloved Nutcracker Stage to include matching pink and gold ornaments to tie in the theme.
Mister Pretty Little Shopper and I bought these stockings the first year we were married and to be honest I was getting ready for a change (of stockings, not husband). 🙂 When I finished putting everything together though, I realized how perfectly these stockings matched our Winter Wonderland Christmas decor. We found them at Anthropologie many years ago along with this quilted “Merry Christmas” garland. Unfortunately, the garland didn’t hold up as well as the stockings… it sadly split into a beaded mess when I pulled it out of it’s bag this year. I’m such a traditionalist, that I will probably get it repaired for next year. I also really love to mix up old decorations with new ones.
This was the first time I used fresh garland as opposed to faux. It was definitely more of a challenge to maneuver, but I love the final effect and the fresh pine scent. I scrolled through Pinterest for inspiration on how to tie the bows and came up with this dangling doubled up ribbon idea.
And of course no celebration is complete without a drink. I am loving this Casa Luigi Sparkling Rosé at the moment. Plus it matches my décor which is always a plus!
I found the white and pink boxes at Target and the frosted pine swag at Michael’s along with the pink ribbon. Target’s collaboration with sugar.paper this year is gorgeous! It’s also super affordable and still available here for last minute wrapping needs.
These snowflakes were purchased years ago and I was so glad to find them buried in my collection. What better way to bring a Winter Wonderland to life? Especially in Southern California where we don’t exactly get a lot of snow.

Thank you Franki! Have you checked out the Gal Meets Glam Collection yet? I’m loving so many of the dresses this season.
Wow, this is incredible! Love how you’ve paid attention to every single detail. Your Christmas decorations are breathtaking, but I have to specifically mention the Nutcrackers, which are absolutely beautiful. And that stage is lovely. Wish I could transport myself into your home for at least one second and admire its beauty. 🙂
