The 2021 Emmy Awards Red Carpet sparked joy last night… Anya Taylor-Joy that is! While the Queen’s Gambit star nominee may have lost the Emmy Award (for Best Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series), she hands down won the Red Carpet in a stunning Dior Haute Couture yellow gown.
While this years Emmy Awards Red Carpet looks weren’t quite up to some of the previous years since I’ve been posting favorites (2017, 2018, 2019), they’re definitely an upgrade from last years Red Carpet Couch. Other highlights from the evening included much deserved wins for Jean Smart, multiple wins for Hacks and The Crown, and the cast of Schitt’s Creek reunited to present. Epic fails included Stephen Colbert’s tasteless attempt at humor, this worst-dressed look of the evening, and the “tenting” of the Awards Hall. Shout out to Seth Rogen for having the guts to point out the honest truth.
