Happy Monday! I hope you and your loved ones had a very Merry Christmas. As we get ready for a few New Year’s celebration gatherings, I wanted to share my latest Mrs. Alice Swan and Toile tablescape, which has quickly become one of my favorite holiday table designs to date.
If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you already know about my long-standing obsession with Mrs. Alice. From holiday tablescapes to spring entertaining, her whimsical yet timeless aesthetic never fails to inspire. (You can see my previous Mrs. Alice holiday and spring tablescapes here and here.)
This year, I searched high and low for a tablescape theme that would complement the jewel-toned Christmas décor in my living room. While I originally had something slightly different in mind, I completely fell in love with this Mrs. Alice Swan and Toile tablescape, and once I saw those rich burgundy swans, there was no turning back.
Honestly, how could you resist? These burgundy velvet swan centerpieces are show-stoppers all on their own. Paired with gold bow candlesticks, classic nutcrackers, and a romantic toile tablecloth, the entire table feels festive, elegant, and just a bit magical. I’m also fairly certain the toile pattern perfectly matches the bedding in our guest bedroom—which makes me love it even more.
For the finishing touches, I styled the table with our classic Spode holiday dishes and Christofle silver flatware, creating a layered look that feels both traditional and elevated. Now all we need is Carson from Downton Abbey to come by and polish the silver.
And speaking of matching details, I love how Charlie’s bow tie from The Foggy Dog coordinates perfectly with my Hunter Bell Langley holiday dress.
Unfortunately, Cupcake wasn’t exactly in the mood for posing, so this was the best we could do for a couples shot—but don’t worry, Santa Paws still brought him plenty of treats.
This Mrs. Alice Swan and Toile tablescape ended up being the perfect blend of classic holiday charm and whimsical design, and it has made entertaining this season feel extra special.
