Dog Bow Ties (here, here and here) / Boater Hat / Star Necklace (also comes in blue) / Dress (also available in white) / Bracelet / Sandals / Shorts / Striped Tee / Sweater
With 4th of July just around the corner, I wanted to share a few of my favorite 4th of July fashion pieces to ring in Independence Day. I’m especially grateful this year to be living in Texas, where patriotic enthusiasm for country and state runs deep!
While I still don’t have any formal plans yet for the 4th of July, I scooped this limited edition Kiel James Patrick “American Celebration Dress” up as soon as it became available. If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you probably already know what a huge fan I am of KJP and his wife’s Sarah Patrick Collection. This dress also comes in white, as well as a shift dress and maxi dress version and it will be a perfect Memorial Day, 4th of July or Labor Day dress for years to come. I’m a huge fan of a red, white and blue color palette year round, so I’ll probably just wear it all Summer long.
I also just purchased these KJP Hydrangea Bloom Shorts and I have these blue linen shorts and this striped tee on my shopping list, along with this Nantucket Regatta sweatshirt. Almost all of the sweaters and sweatshirts on the KJP site are available for both men and women (and some for kids too) and this one has been a huge hit when I’ve gifted it to friends and family.
Mr. Cupcake is really into wearing bow ties lately. I think it’s because he knows it means we’re going to do something fun and he is quite the party animal. 🙂 I just got him this red and blue gingham bowtie from The Foggy Dog, but I think I might have to order one of these bow ties (here, here and here) to go with my American Celebration dress. And I just purchased these red and blue sandals for my sister-in-law and I’m having some serious shoe envy. They’re on sale for 50% off, so I might have to get a pair for myself too.
Star Bag / Girl’s Sundress / Earrings (also comes in red) / Tee Shirt / Denim / Sneakers / Sunglasses / Sweatshirts (blue and white, red, white and blue)
I’ve always been a fan of a good cross body bag, but since I brought home Mr. Cupcake it’s become a necessity. This star cross body bag is sure to turn heads any day of the week and is a perfect match for these Converse star trainers. I just got this gorgeous Crimson red tee shirt and these high rise dark denim jeans from Mott and Bow (another staple brand in my wardrobe) and I love how they can be styled with these American Flag sunnies and these star earrings or necklace for a casual and fun 4th of July week look. If you’re a first time customer with Mott and Bow, be sure to use my code Lisa10 at checkout for 10% off your entire order.
