Happy Tuesday! Spring is in full swing and the weather here in Los Angeles has finally gotten the memo. To celebrate the season, I created a Spring Citrus Tablescape using just a few simple ingredients you can pick up at any grocery store (or in some cases your own backyard).
I started with my trusted set of apothecary jars that you’ve seen me post previously on the blog here, here, here and here. These two sets of jars were purchased for about $80 total and I have already found so many ways to use them.
I purchased bags of lemons, limes and clementines at Whole Foods and Trader Joes as well as a bunch of greenery to lay across the table in lieu of a runner. I recommend buying the smallest ones you can find as they are easier to fit in the apothecary jars.
I set the table with my favorite yellow linen place mats and napkins and used this online tutorial to fold my napkins into envelopes. A pretty orange spray rose completed each setting and was the perfect compliment to tie in the citrus color palette.
Finish setting the table with your favorite dishes and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and you’re ready for a delightful Spring or Summer dinner party. Keep the menu simple and light to go with the season. I highly recommend this Citrus, Avocado and Red Onion Salad with Salmon Quinoa Croquettes or Quiche or Turkey Burgers, Homemade Fries and Ceasar Salad. Of course, you can also never go wrong with Mexican Food and Margaritas!
